The classic pipe-rotation puzzle. Tap a pipe and it turns 90°; straights, elbows, tees and crosses have to line up before the water reaches the fountain on the right — so kids trace the route in their head and work out each pipe’s way in and way out, which is exactly route planning and mental rotation. 50 levels from gentle to tricky (4×4 to 6×6), all machine-verified. Whether one turn brings each pipe closer or farther is pre-computed: 🌱 Easy shows green houses and orange warnings. A wrong turn just needs a few more taps, so nobody gets stuck. Tap Dino for a three-step lesson (he talks!).
Goal: bring the water from the tank 💧 on the left all the way to the fountain ⛲ on the right. When the fountain sprays, you win.
Just one rule: tap a pipe and it turns 90° clockwise. There are straights, elbows, tees and crosses; water only flows where the ends meet. One move = one turn.
How to play: tap the pipes directly; pipes with water turn blue, pipes not yet connected show a tiny ↻ in the corner. Or pick a pipe with the arrows below (it glows white) and press “↻ Turn”. On a desktop: arrow keys pick, space turns, Z is undo.
Dino the coach: tap Dino’s avatar by the thumbnail for the tutorial — three steps (one straight → an elbow must face both ways → ignore the decoys).
The way home: under the pool, Dino stands on the stone that shows how many turns are left; a good turn hops forward, a bad one hops back.
Color hints (🌱 Easy only): a green house marks pipes that get you closer with one turn; orange means a turn makes it farther, grey means no change. Exact distances are computed for every pipe, so the colors never lie.
Difficulty: 🌱 Easy has color hints; 🌿 Normal keeps only the turn counter; 🌳 Hard keeps only Dino on the stone path (no numbers). A wrong turn just needs a few more taps — you can never get stuck.
Stuck? Press “🖐 Show me” and a little hand points at the pipe to turn; it also points once after 10 idle seconds. “↩ Undo” takes a turn back.
Levels: 50 levels from gentle to tricky (4×4 → 5×5 → 6×6), all machine-verified; tap “Level N ▾” to jump to any level — cleared ones get a ⭐. Connect in the minimum turns for a “Perfect”.
Settings: difficulty, level, sound and voice are tucked away by default so little fingers can’t mess with them; tap the 🌼 above the game to open them, tap again to close.
For parents: pipe puzzles train route planning and mental rotation: kids trace the water’s route in their head, work out each pipe’s “way in” and “way out”, then count the turns — the same skill as rotating shapes in the mind, and the habit of planning before doing.
