AIPrentice collects no personal data. There are no servers operated by us, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no account or login. The app contains no networking code at all — it works fully offline. This App complies with Apple's "Made for Kids" guidelines and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect any personally identifiable information from users, including children under the age of 13.
What the app stores, and where
- Your child's drawings (the AI's teaching examples) are stored on your device only, inside the app's private storage. They are never transmitted anywhere and are not accessible to us.
- The pet's state (name, evolution stage, quiz statistics, experience points) is stored locally on your device only.
- The language preference (Chinese / English) is stored in the app's local settings on your device only.
What we do NOT collect
- No name, email address, or any personal identifier
- No location data
- No drawings, images, or any user content transmitted off-device
- No usage analytics or crash reporting sent to us
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- No third-party SDKs that collect data
About the "AI"
The AI in AIPrentice is a small classifier that runs entirely on your device. It learns only from the drawings your child feeds it inside the app. It is not a chatbot, does not generate text or images, does not connect to any AI service on the internet, and cannot access anything outside the app's own storage.
Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
AIPrentice is designed for children to use under parental supervision. Because we collect no data at all, the app complies with COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU) by design. No information about child users is ever collected, stored outside the device, or shared.
Permissions
The app requests no system permissions — no camera, no microphone, no location, no photo library.
Third-party services
AIPrentice uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Ad-Free Experience
To ensure a safe environment for children, this App is 100% ad-free. We do not display any third-party advertisements or use any ad-tracking mechanisms.
Parental Gate
The parent zone (learning history, advanced tuning, full reset) sits behind a Parental Gate — a math question designed so young children cannot pass it without an adult.
Data deletion
All app data is stored locally on your device. To delete everything, uninstall the app. You can also erase all teaching examples and start over from Settings → Parent Zone → "Start over", or delete individual drawings in the Memory Backpack.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.
