這就是內建「螢幕使用時間」沒有的兩件事。Lock：勾星期幾、設一段時間（例如一二三四 7:00–12:00），加進來的 App 只有在這個窗口才打得開。Rest：玩 30 分鐘就一起休息 5 分鐘，休完自動解鎖，循環下去。想要更多組就按「Add lock part」。The two things iOS Screen Time doesn't do. Lock: check the days, set a window (say Mon–Thu 7:00 AM–12:00 PM) — apps you add open only inside it. Rest: after 30 minutes of play they rest together for 5, then unlock automatically, on repeat. 挑 App 的畫面是 Apple 自己的選取器（Choose Activities），RestBud 拿到的只是一串不透明的代號——我們看不到、也拿不到「你的孩子用了哪些 App」的清單。這是 Screen Time API 的設計，隱私由系統保證。Picking apps uses Apple's own Choose Activities sheet. What RestBud receives back is a set of opaque tokens — we never see or obtain a readable list of what your child uses. That's how the Screen Time API is designed; the privacy is guaranteed by the system.

時間到不是冷冰冰的系統音，是你自己的聲音——「該休息囉」。最長 25 秒、時間到自動停。錄音只存在這台裝置上，不會上傳、也不會送去任何語音服務。沒錄就播預設音效。When time's up it isn't a cold system chime — it's your voice saying "time for a break". Up to 25 seconds, stops on its own. The recording stays on this device only: never uploaded, never sent to any speech service. Skip it and a default sound plays instead.

要改規則得先答一題大人級乘法（322 × 7 = ?）。所有設定、時段、讚助都在這道閘後面。老實說：這是擋住「順手亂按」的軟性防線，不是防得住鐵了心的大孩子——真的要更硬，請搭配下面那頁的防拆設定。Changing the rules means answering a grown-up multiplication question first (322 × 7 = ?). Every setting, window and tip sits behind it. Honestly: it's a soft gate that stops idle tapping, not a determined older kid — for something firmer, pair it with the tamper-proofing steps below.

一眼看四項權限現在的狀態：螢幕使用時間、通知（語音提醒）、刪除保護、麥克風。下面是臨時解鎖——進來後有 5 分鐘不用重答題，可以 +／− 延長，或按「Lock now」立刻收回。All four permissions at a glance: Screen Time, notifications (voice reminders), deletion protection, microphone. Below is the temporary unlock — five minutes without re-answering, extendable with +/−, or revoked instantly with "Lock now".

家長在 iOS 的系統對話框按下同意，RestBud 才能套用限制。授權完成後就不用再管它，規則會自己在背景跑；隨時可以在 iOS 設定裡收回。A parent approves it in iOS's own dialog — only then can RestBud apply limits. After that you can forget about it; the rules run in the background, and you can revoke access any time in iOS Settings.

語言可跟系統或手動指定。最下面是選用的自由讚助（$0.99／$4.99／$9.99）——不解鎖任何功能，全部功能本來就免費；它躲在家長閘後面，孩子碰不到。付款完全由 Apple 處理。Language follows the system or can be set by hand. At the bottom sits an optional tip jar ($0.99 / $4.99 / $9.99) — it unlocks nothing, every feature is already free, and it lives behind the parental gate where children can't reach it. Payment is handled entirely by Apple.

孩子這一側極簡：一株小芽、「今天可以玩」的 App，沒有任何設定入口。還沒設定好時會誠實地說「還沒設定」，並提醒去請大人授權——不會假裝已經在保護。The child's side is deliberately bare: a sprout, the apps they can play today, and no way into settings. Before setup it says so plainly and points to a grown-up for authorization — it never pretends to be protecting when it isn't.

iPad 的高度剛好把權限、臨時解鎖、使用說明、Lock 時段、Rest 循環一次排完，不用一直捲。第一次設定用 iPad 會比手機輕鬆很多。The iPad's height fits permissions, temporary unlock, the how-it-works notes, the Lock window and the Rest cycle all at once — far less scrolling. First-time setup is noticeably easier here than on a phone.

可分別錄「上鎖提醒」和「預告提醒」，並開啟結束前 5 分鐘先預告。下面「防拆」那區把話講白：去 iOS 設定開「不允許刪除 App」、裝置靜音時語音不會響（但畫面照樣鎖）、規則跟著裝置時鐘走所以最好把時間設定也鎖起來。Record a lock reminder and a warning reminder separately, and switch on the five-minute heads-up. The tamper-proofing block says the quiet part out loud: turn on "Don't Allow Deleting Apps" in iOS Settings; a muted device silences the voice (the screen still locks); and rules follow the device clock, so consider locking Settings too.

選取器在 iPad 上以浮動視窗出現，後面就是你正在編輯的那一組 Lock／Rest，挑完直接看到結果。同樣可以搜尋、同樣不會把清單交給我們。On iPad the picker appears as a floating sheet over the Lock/Rest group you're editing, so you see the result immediately. Same search, and the same guarantee that the list never reaches us.
