What Gomoku Kids does
Gomoku Kids (五子棋小學堂) teaches five-in-a-row to children aged 4–8. Instead of just playing, it turns the computer's thinking into colors a child can read: green marks good moves, orange warns of an opponent's threat. Three guided tutorials teach blocking, building a four, and finding the winning move. Play the computer or two players on one device.
Requirements
- iOS 26 / iPadOS 26 or later. iPhone and iPad supported.
- No account or login. 100% offline — no internet connection needed.
- No microphone, camera, or photo access. No in-app purchases, no ads.
Common questions
There's no sound.
Gomoku Kids respects your device's silent / mute switch (a polite choice for a kids' app). If your iPhone's side switch is set to silent, the game stays quiet. Flip the switch off and turn the volume up. Also check that Sound and Voice are enabled in the app's Settings.
How do I switch between Chinese and English?
The app follows your device language by default. You can also choose Chinese or English manually in Settings — both the on-screen text and the spoken voice switch together.
What do the green and orange marks mean?
Turn on hints. Green = a good move for you (build toward three, four, or five). Orange = danger, where the opponent could threaten next. Each mark also has an icon and text (not color alone) and speaks a short tip when tapped.
The computer is too hard / too easy.
Open Settings and adjust the difficulty. The default is easy on purpose, so children win often and stay encouraged. You can also choose two-player mode to play against a parent or friend on the same device.
How do the tutorials work?
There are three short lessons: block an opponent's open three, build your own four, and find the five-in-a-row win. A wrong move gets a gentle hint, never a scolding. You can replay them any time from the home screen.

系統需求
- 需要 iOS 26 / iPadOS 26 以上，支援 iPhone 與 iPad。
- 不需要帳號或登入。100% 離線，不需網路連線。
- 不使用麥克風、相機或相簿。無 App 內購買、無廣告。
常見問題
沒有聲音。
五子棋小學堂會尊重裝置的實體靜音鍵（兒童 App 的禮貌做法）。如果 iPhone 側邊開關切到靜音，遊戲就不會出聲。請把靜音鍵關掉、音量調高。也請確認 App 設定裡的「音效」與「語音」開關已開啟。
如何切換中文 / 英文？
App 預設跟隨裝置語言，也可以在「設定」裡手動選擇中文或英文——畫面文字與語音會一起切換。
綠色和橘色的標記是什麼意思？
開啟提示後，綠色＝適合你下的好棋（往連三、連四、連五發展）；橘色＝危險，對手下一手可能形成的威脅。每個標記同時有圖示與文字（不只靠顏色），點一下還會講一句小提示。
電腦太強 / 太弱。
在「設定」裡調整難度。預設刻意設成輕鬆，讓孩子常贏、保持成就感。也可以選雙人同機模式，跟爸媽或朋友在同一台裝置對戰。
教學怎麼進行？
共有三關：堵截對手的活三、把棋連成四、找到能連五的致勝點。下錯只會給溫柔提示，不會責備。隨時可以從首頁重玩。
